What Makes Medalist Feed Different?
We believe feeding your horses should be simple.
Medalist Feed uses thoughtfully selected ingredients and a chemical-free pelleting process to provide convenient nutrition without added binders, antibiotics, or artificial ingredients.
Whether you’re feeding growing horses, hard working horses, seniors, or the everyday horses you simply want to keep looking and feeling their best, Medalist offers straightforward options to fit into your feeding program.
Why Choose Medalist Pellets?
Sprouted barley provides a slow-release source of energy, making it a useful alternative for horse owners looking to reduce their reliance on traditional high-starch or high-sugar feeds.
High in Fiber
Fiber plays an important role in a horse’s digestive health. Medalist Sprout Pellets contain a minimum of 28% crude fiber.
Quality Protein
With a minimum of 14% crude protein, Sprout Pellets can help support healthy growth, muscle maintenance, and overall body condition.
Simple Ingredients
Our Sprout Pellets are made from dried barley sprouts, alfalfa hay, and 3-way hay.
No Added Binders or Antibiotics
Medalist uses a chemical-free pelleting process without added binders, fillers, antibiotics, or artificial ingredients.

Sprout Pellets
Sprouted barley has long been valued as a highly digestible source of nutrition. Medalist makes it easier to feed by turning sprouted barley fodder into a convenient pellet.
Our Sprout Pellets combine:
Sprouted Barley
A source of slow-release energy to help support steady energy throughout the day.
Alfalfa
Provides protein, fiber, and naturally occurring nutrients to help support healthy condition and muscle.
3-Way Hay
Adds additional forage and fiber to create a practical, convenient feed.
The result is a simple pellet that delivers the benefits of sprouted fodder without growing, harvesting, or handling trays of fresh sprouts.
Alfalfa Pellets
Medalist Alfalfa Pellets are made with 100% alfalfa, including the stems and leaves, ground together into an easy-to-feed pellet.
With a minimum of 17% crude protein and 28% crude fiber, they provide a convenient way to add quality alfalfa to your horse’s feeding program.
Because the alfalfa is ground before pelleting, horses can’t simply pick through the softer leaves and leave the stems behind. The pellets can also be soaked when a softer feeding option is preferred.
Â
Made in Utah
Our alfalfa is sourced from Delta, Utah, and our barley sprouts are grown on-site. By controlling more of the process ourselves, Medalist can turn freshly grown ingredients into an easy-to-store, easy-to-feed pellet designed for everyday horse owners.
No complicated feeding routine. No growing trays of fodder. Just scoop, feed, and get back to doing what you actually enjoy—spending time with your horses.
