I started buying the Mini Sprout pellets two years ago after I purchased an automatic pellet dispenser for my metabolic gelding. At that time Medalist was not selling a dispenser. This one came from England. It could handle the regular sized pellets, but I could tell from the noise it made that it was designed for a smaller gaged pellet like the Mini Sprout pellet. Those work perfectly in my dispenser. I use the dispenser at night so he doesn’t go hours without a feeding. He gets 1.5 pounds every two hours 4 times during the night. Then I got a pony mare. She could eat the regular size pellets but I often heard her choke and cough on them too. She is not IR or Metabolic and doesn’t need the small night feedings like my gelding. She will take all night eating hay out of a slow feeder, where my metabolic gelding could eat all his hay out of a slow feeder in a couple of hours and then have a stressful long night of no feed. I switched her to the mini sized pellet to see if it would stop the choking and coughing. It was the correct decision. No more choking or coughing. I decided to see how my gelding did on them for the twice a day pellet feeding I do that I mix supplements in. In the past, he didn’t finish the larger pellets with supplements until much later in the day. Now that I mix the supplements with the mini pellets, he cleans his pan slick as a whistle. So Mini Pellets it is!
I love the Spouted pellets. Large or small, what ever size works for you, they are fabulous nutrition. And I love the 50 sack, 2000 pound pallet option.

I love the pellets! It’s convenient, but for the horses, it’s better to use the big bag and disperse as needed. I think the best system that I will purchase in the future is to the automatic system.
Excellent quality.Our rabbits, sheep and goats love them. We notice improved coats when on these pellets compared to other brands.
Had a hard time setting it up due to not understanding the instructions, but a very cool product that sure makes my horse happier!
Amazing feeder to get pellets into my old Shire.
But I was sooo frustrated learning how to set a schedule. I know that's my old brain, but the videos and manual were not very helpful. However, now that I have had more time running it, the machine is a total breeze and is a huge help to me and my horse. No more running down to the barn 4 times a day!
I set the system up in manual/program mode last night and everything is working correctly. We tried the App and are still working through issues. Originally the feeder showed on the phone (standing at the feeder), and we initiated "Feed Now" and it worked. Later (from inside the house) the feeder doesn't show on the phone. Probably our wifi but we are trying to diagnose the issue.
Couldn't wait to set this up in our barn to showcase during our clinics.
This company has been great to work with and they really helped me out when I was in a bind. They treated me like a neighbor. My horse seems to be liking the feed fine too and I like how it's easy to feed with no waste.
My horses and mules both absolutely love the sprout pellets. We purchased alfalfa pellets previously and they didn’t care for them as much.

These pellets are new to my horses so it’s taking a while for them to get use to them. After a few weeks I think they realize how good they actually are.
Great product that my horse thoroughly enjoy. There is no waste - they eat it all. I love the saved space (40 bags for 2,000 lbs) and now have room in our "hay" shed for other items.

First of all, I love that the pellets have only three ingredients!! However, the senior Thoroughbred stallion I got them for ate one serving, and then wouldn't eat any more the next day. My other two horses (Warmblood/Thoroughbred) like them, though! Four stars instead of five, only because the stallion didn't like them.
